ÖZET
 Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye'de yaşayan Türk popülasyonundaki genç yetişkinlerde biakromial çap (BaC), bitrokanterik çap (BtC) ve biiliak çap (BiC) ölçümleri ile boy uzunluğu arasındaki ilişkiyi her iki cinsiyette en iyi tanımlayan modeli bularak bütünlüğü bozulmuş ceset veya iskelet kalıntıları üzerinden yapılan biyolojik profil geliştirme sürecine bu modeli kullanarak katkıda bulunmaktır. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Çalışmada, yaşları ve boy uzunlukları bilinen sağlıklı 62 kadın ve 63 erkek olmak üzere toplam 125 yetişkin bireyde dijital kaliper yardımıyla BaC, BtC ve BiC değerlendirilmiştir. Çap ölçümleri ile boy uzunluğu arasındaki doğrusal ilişkiler çoklu doğrusal regresyon modeli ile, doğrusal olmayan ilişkiler ise çokdeğişkenli uyarlanabilir regresyon eğrileri ile incelenmiştir. İstatistik anlamlılık düzeyi olarak p<0,05 kabul edilmiştir ve hesaplamalarda SPSS 22.0 ve SPM®8 Trial programları kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Üç ayrı çap ölçümü yardımıyla, yetişkin kadın ve erkeklerde boy uzunluğu ölçümleri ayrı ayrı tahmin edilmek istendiğinde kadınlarda, sadece BaC ile boy uzunluğu arasında anlamlı doğrusal bir ilişki olduğu (p=0,011) ve BaC bir birim arttığında boy uzunluğunun da 1,015 cm arttığı belirlenmiştir. Erkeklerde ise BaC ile boy uzunluğu arasında anlamlı doğrusal bir ilişki olduğu (p=0,004) ve BaC bir birim arttığında, boy uzunluğunun da 1,375 cm arttığı, ayrıca BiC ile boy uzunluğu arasında anlamlı doğrusal bir ilişki olduğu (p=0,004) ve BiC bir birim arttığında boy uzunluğunun da 1,186 cm arttığı görülmüştür. Sonuç: Bu çalışmanın sonuçları, kadınlarda BaC, erkeklerde ise BaC ve BiC ölçümlerinin Türkiye popülasyonunda boy uzunluğu tahmini için bütünlüğü bozulmuş cesetlerde veya tamamen iskelet hâline gelmemiş kalıntılarda kullanılabileceğini göstermiştir.

ABSTRACT
 Objective: The aim of this study is to find the model that best describes the relationship between biacromial, bitrochanteric, and biiliac diameter measurements and stature in both sexes and young adults in Turkish population in Turkey, and to contribute to the biological profile development process on corpses or skeletal remains with disrupted integrity by using this model. Material and Methods: In the study, a total of 125 adults, 62 females and 63 males whose ages and stature are known, with the help of digital calipers, biacromial diameter, bitrochanteric diameter and biiliac diameter were evaluated. The linear relations between the diameter measurements and stature were examined with the Multivariate Linear Regression Model, the nonlinear relations were examined with the Multivariate Adaptive Regression and Splines. The level of statistical significance was taken as p<0.05; and the SPSS 22.0 and SPM®8 Trial programs were used in the calculations. Results: When the stature measurements in adult males and females were desired to be estimated separately with the help of the three different diameter measurements, it was determined that there is only a significant and linear relation between the biacromial diameter and stature (p=0.011) in females, and the biacromial diameter increased at a rate of 1.015 cm when the stature increased one unit. In males, it was determined that there is a significant and linear relation between the biacromial diameter and stature (p=0.004), and when the biacromial diameter increased at a rate of 1.375 cm, stature also increased one unit, there is a significant and linear relation between biiliac diameter and stature (p=0.004), and when the biiliac diameter increased one unit, stature increased at a rate of 1.186 cm. Conclusion: The results of this study showed that the biacromial diameter in females and the biacromial and biiliac diameter measurements in males could be used for stature estimations in corpses with disrupted integrity or in skeletal remains in the Turkish population.

Turkish Law will be applied in practicing, interpreting the hereby "Terms of Use" and managing the emerging legal relationships within this "Terms of Use" in case of finding element of foreignness, except for the rules of Turkish conflict of laws. Ankara Courts and Enforcement Offices are entitled in any controversy happened or may happen due to hereby contract.

9. CLOSING AND AGREEMENT

Hereby "Terms of Use" come into force when announced in the "SITE" by "Turkiye Klinikleri". The users are regarded to agree to hereby contract terms by using the "SITE". "Turkiye Klinikleri" may change the contract terms and the changes will be come into force by specifying the version number and the date of change on time it is published in the "SITE".
