Objective: This study was conducted to determine midwives' level of knowledge about Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) and its reflection on clinical practice. Material and Methods: This descriptive study included 500 midwives between July and December 2023. Data were collected online using the Introductory Information Form and the HPV Knowledge Scale (HPV-Scale). T-test, one-way analysis of variance, and Kruskal-Wallis tests were used to evaluate the data. Results: The mean age of participants was 32,40±8,29 years. Of the participants, 41,4% had been working for less than 5 years, and almost all of them (99%) stated that they had heard of HPV before. The mean score of the HPV-Scale was 23,49±4,62 (minimum: 0, maximum: 33). The increase in midwives' experience led to a significant increase in HPV-KS scores and clinical practice (p<0.05). Conclusion: Midwives participating in studies on midwifery knowledge and clinical practice about human papillomavirus were generally found to have a moderate-to-high level of knowledge about HPV. Midwives with higher HPV-KS scores were found to be more aware of HPV-related issues. Adequate knowledge about HPV is crucial for midwives to raise public awareness. Increased knowledge also led to improvements in clinical practice. The findings demonstrate that the increase in knowledge level positively affects professional practices, which in turn plays a critical role in public health and is an effective element in improving public health.
