Objective: The first objective is to compare the performance of the jump test conducted at different time following the French contrast method. Secondly, to compare the CMJ performances of athletes with varying maximal strength levels after French contrast implementation. Material and Methods: Nineteen young male soccer players participated in the study on a voluntary basis (mean±standard deviation: mean age: 15.47±0.51 years; body weight: 59.58±7.36 kg; height: 171.06±6.67 cm; 1TM squat: 88.15±14.85). The study evaluated the one repetition maximums of participating athletes in the squat movement. Those with a one repetition maximum lower than 1.5 times their body weight (n=9) was classified as the low one repetition maximums (L1RM) group, while those with a higher one repetition maximum (n=10) were classified as the high one repetition maximums (H1RM) group. Subsequently, the athletes involved in the study conducted a CMJ performance assessment before (pre-test) and after the application of the French contrast method at three different duration times (4th, 8th, and 12th minute). Results: The repeated measures analysis of variance revealed that the athletes exhibited the best CMJ performance in the 4th minute (34.6±5.69 cm), irrespective of their maximal strength levels. This value was significantly different from the pre-test (33.28±4.72 cm) results (F: 4.370; p: 0.008; ηp2: 0.204; intraclass correlation coefficients: 0.984; large effect size). Based on the statistical analysis of the athlete's maximal strength levels, only the H1RM group showed a significant change from the pre-test in the fourth minute. The L1RM group did not show any significant change. Conclusion: Therefore, it is suggested that the French contrast method can be used as a post-activation performance enhancement method, but it should be preferred for athletes with high maximal strength levels.
