ÖZET
 Amaç: Bu çalışmada, hemşirelerin dövme ve pirsinge (D/P) sahip bireylerde uygulama ve bakıma ilişkin bilgi, tutum ve davranışlarının belirlenmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Tanımlayıcı türde yapılan bu araştırmanın örneklemini 176 hemşire oluşturmuştur. Araştırmanın verileri üç bölümden oluşan soru formu ile toplanmıştır. Soru formunun birinci bölümü, tanıtıcı özellikleri, ikinci bölümü D/P'ye ilişkin bilgi durumunu; üçüncü bölümü ise D/P'ye ilişkin davranış ve tutumları içermektedir. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde tanımlayıcı istatistikler (frekans ve yüzde) kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Hemşirelerin %65,9'u 25 yaşın altında, çoğu kadın (%84,1) ve %15,3'ünün D/P'si bulunmaktadır. Hemşireler en çok, bireylerin iyi görünme ve hissetme (%56,8), moda trenlerinin takip etme (%44,3), önemli bir hayat olayını belirtme (%36,9) isteklerine bağlı olarak D/P yaptırdıklarını ifade etmişlerdir. Hemşirelerin %62,5'i D/P hakkında bilgisinin olduğunu, %88,6'sı D/P uygulamalarının risklerini bildiğini ifade etmiştir. Hemşirelerin sadece %3,6'sı D/P'ye sahip bir hastaya bakım verirken tutum ve davranışlarının etkilendiğini, %13,7'si D/P uygulamalarının tedavi ve bakıma engel oluşturacağını belirtmekle birlikte hemşirelerin %44,5'inin D/P uygulamaları hakkında nötr-olumsuz tutuma sahip oldukları belirlenmiştir. Sonuç: Bu çalışmada, hemşirelerin çoğunun D/P uygulamaları hakkında bilgisi olduğu, bakım sürecinde D/P'ye sahip hastalara karşı tutum ve davranışlarının büyük oranda etkilenmediği görülmüştür. Bu doğrultuda hemşirelerin, D/P gibi vücut değişikliği uygulamaları hakkında bilgi sahibi olmaları ve bu uygulamaların bakım sürecini olumsuz etkileyebilecek risklerinin farkında olmaları gerekmektedir. Ayrıca bireysel tercihleri ve kültürel özellikleri takip etmeleri, D/P'ye sahip bireylerin bakımını bilmeleri iyi hasta sonuçlarının elde edilebilmesi açısından oldukça önemlidir.

ABSTRACT
 Objective: This study aimed to determine the knowledge, attitudes and behaviors of nurses regarding practices and care in individuals with tattoo and piercing (T/P). Material and Methods: The sample of this descriptive study consisted of 176 nurses. The data of the research were collected with a questionnaire consisting of three parts. The first part of the questionnaire includes patients' characteristics, the second part of the nurses' knowledge about T/P and the third part includes nurses' behaviors and attitudes towards T/P. Data were evaluated using descriptive statistics (frequency and percentage). Results: 65.9% of the nurses participating in the study were under the age of 25, most of them were women (84.1%) and 15.3% had T/P. Nurses stated that they mostly had T/P done depending on the wishes of individuals to look and feel good (56.8%), to follow fashion trends (44.3%), and to indicate an important life event (36.9%). 62.5% of the nurses stated that they had knowledge about T/P and 88.6% of them stated that they knew the risks of T/P practices. Only 3.6% of the nurses stated that the attitudes and behaviors were affected while giving care to a patient with T/P, 13.7% of them stated that T/P practices would create an obstacle to treatment and care, and 44.5% of the nurses had a neutral-negative attitude about T/P practices. Conclusion: In this study, it was observed that most of the nurses had knowledge about T/P practices, and their attitudes and behaviors towards patients with T/P during the care process were not greatly affected. In this respect, nurses should have knowledge about body modification practices such as D/P and be aware of the risks of these practices that may adversely affect the care process. In addition, it is very important to know the changing and developing current practices by following the changing individual preferences and cultural characteristics in order to obtain good patient outcomes.

4. GENERAL PROVISIONS

4.1. "Turkiye Klinikleri" is completely free to determine which of the services and contents provided in the "SITE" will be charged.

4.2. People benefiting from the services provided by "Turkiye Klinikleri" and using the website can use the "SITE" only according to the law and only for personal reasons. Users have the criminal and civil liability for every process and action they take in the "SITE". Every USER agrees, declares and undertakes that they will not proceed by any function or action infringement of rights of "Turkiye Klinikleri"s and/or other third parties', they are the exclusive right holder on usage, processing, storage, made public and revealing any written, visual or auditory information reported to Turkiye Klinikleri" and/or "SITE" to the third parties. "Force majeure" term will be regarded as outside of the concerned party's reasonable control and any situation that "Turkiye Klinikleri" cannot prevent even though it shows due diligence. Also, force majeure situations include but not limited to natural disasters, rebellion, war, strike, communication problems, infrastructure and internet failure, power cut and bad weather conditions.

8. LAW AND AUTHORISATION TO FOLLOW

Turkish Law will be applied in practicing, interpreting the hereby "Terms of Use" and managing the emerging legal relationships within this "Terms of Use" in case of finding element of foreignness, except for the rules of Turkish conflict of laws. Ankara Courts and Enforcement Offices are entitled in any controversy happened or may happen due to hereby contract.

9. CLOSING AND AGREEMENT

Hereby "Terms of Use" come into force when announced in the "SITE" by "Turkiye Klinikleri". The users are regarded to agree to hereby contract terms by using the "SITE". "Turkiye Klinikleri" may change the contract terms and the changes will be come into force by specifying the version number and the date of change on time it is published in the "SITE".
