ÖZET
 Amaç: Üniversitemize başvuran deri kanserli olgularda yaş, cinsiyet, tutulan bölge ve kanser türlerini belirleyebilmek, bulgularımızı ülkemizde ve dünyada yapılan diğer çalışmaların sonuçlarıyla karşılaştırmak ve ilimizdeki deri kanseri sıklığını saptamaya yardımcı olmaktır. Gereç ve Yöntemler: 1996 yılından itibaren 2003 yılı ilk yarısına kadar olan sürede Kocaeli Üniversitesi Patoloji Anabilim Dalı arşivi taranarak malign deri tümörü tanısı almış olan toplam 372 hasta çalışmaya dahil edildi. Deri tümörleri; bazal hücreli karsinom(BHK), skuamöz hücreli karsinom (SHK), malign melanom, bazoskuamöz karsinom ve Kaposi sarkomu olarak sınıflandırıldı. Tüm tümörler yaş, cinsiyet, yerleşim yeri ve görülme sıklığı açısından incelendi. Deri lenfomaları ve malign deri eki tümörleri çalışma dışında tutuldu. Bulgular: İkiyüzotuzbiri (%62.11) erkek, 141'i (%37.89) ise kadın olan toplam 372 hastada 386 adet deri kanseri tespit edildi. Hastalar yaş gruplarına göre değerlendirildiğinde tümör görülme sıklığının 50 yaşından sonra artmaya başladığı ve en sık görüldüğü yaş grubunun ise 70 yaş ve üzeri olduğu tespit edildi. Toplam 386 tümörün 265'ini BHK, 77'sini SHK, 27'sini malign melanom, 11'ini bazoskuamöz karsinom ve 6'sını Kaposi sarkomu oluşturmaktaydı. Deri kanserlerinin en sık baş ve boyun bölgesinde yerleştiği görüldü. Bazal hücreli karsinoma tespit edilen hastaların %60.61'inin erkek, %39.39'unun kadın olduğu, en sık yerleşim bölgesinin yüz ve özellikle burun bölgesi olduğu, yaşla orantılı olarak görülme sıklığının arttığı dikkati çekti. Skuamöz hücreli karsinoma tespit edilen hastaların %72.98'isi erkek, %27.02'si kadın idi. SHK görülme sıklığı 70 yaşından sonra erkeklerde kadınlardan 2 kat daha fazla idi. En sık yerleşim yerinin yüz bölgesi, özellikle dudak bölgesi (%24.68) olduğu tespit edildi. Malign melanom olgularının %53.57'si kadın, %46.43'ü erkek idi. En sık rastlanan yerleşim yerinin baş ve boyun bölgesi olduğu görüldü. Sonuç: Çalışmamızda en sık görülen deri kanseri bazal hücreli karsinomaydı. Bunu sırası ile skuamöz hücreli karsinoma, malign melanom, bazoskuamöz karsinom ve Kaposi sarkomu takip etmekteydi. Genel olarak tümörler en sık baş ve boyun bölgesinde görülmekte ve yaşla birlikte görülme sıklıkları artmaktaydı. Sonuçlarımız literatür bilgileri ile genellikle uyumluydu. Kayıt ve bildirimlerin daha dikkatli yapılması, histopatolojik incelemenin öneminin kavranması gerçek verilerin elde edilmesini kolaylaştıracaktır.

ABSTRACT
 Objective: To determine age, sex, localization and types of skin cancer in skin cancer cases admitted to our university and to compare our findings with the results of other studies that have been carried out in our country and in the world and to help to determine the frequency of skin cancers in our city. Material and Methods: Threehundred seventytwo patients diagnosed as malignant skin tumor were included in the study, by examining the archive of Pathology Department of Kocaeli University from 1996 to the first half of 2003. Skin tumors were classified as basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, malignant melanoma, basosquamous cell carcinoma and Kaposi sarcoma. All of the tumors were examined for age, sex, localization and incidence. Cutaneous lymphomas and malignant skin appendages tumors were not included in the study. Results: In 372 patients, 231 (62.11%) male and 141 (37.89%) female; totaly 386 skin cancers were found. When the patients were examined for age groups, it was found that tumor frequency increased after the age of 50, and the highest frequency was detected for 70 and over. Of 386 tumors; 265 were basal cell carcinoma, 77 were squamous cell carcinoma, 27 were malignant melanoma, 11 were basosquamous cell carcinoma and 6 were Kaposi sarcoma. It was seen that the most common localization of skin tumors was head and neck region. Of patients with basal cell carcinoma, ıt was noticed that 60.61% was male and 39.39% was female, the most common localization was face, especially nasal region, frequency increased with age. Of patients with squamous cell carcinoma, 72.98% was male and 27.02% was female. The incidence of squamous cell carcinoma after 70 years old was twofold greater in men than in women. It was noticed that the most common localization was face, especially labial region (24.68%). Of malignant melanoma cases 53.57% was female and 46.43% was male. It was seen that the most common localization was head and neck region. Conclusion: In our study the most frequently seen skin cancer was basal cell carcinoma. It is followed by squamous cell carcinoma, malignant melonoma, basosquamous cell carcinoma and Kaposi sarcoma. Generally the tumors were mostly seen in head and neck region and their frequencies increased by age. Our results were generally concordant with other literature informations. Making records and declerations more attentive and understanding the importance of histopathological examination will simplify to obtain real datas.

4. GENERAL PROVISIONS

4.1. "Turkiye Klinikleri" is completely free to determine which of the services and contents provided in the "SITE" will be charged.

4.2. People benefiting from the services provided by "Turkiye Klinikleri" and using the website can use the "SITE" only according to the law and only for personal reasons. Users have the criminal and civil liability for every process and action they take in the "SITE". 4.8. "Turkiye Klinikleri" may give links through the "SITE" to other websites and/or "CONTEXT"s and/or folders that are outside of their control and owned and run by third parties. These links are provided for ease of reference only and do not hold qualification for support the respective web SITE or the admin or declaration or guarantee for the information inside. Being late or failure of performance or non-defaulting of this and similar cases like this will not be the case from the viewpoint of "Turkiye Klinikleri", and "Turkiye Klinikleri" will not have any damage liability for these situations. "Force majeure" term will be regarded as outside of the concerned party's reasonable control and any situation that "Turkiye Klinikleri" cannot prevent even though it shows due diligence. Also, force majeure situations include but not limited to natural disasters, rebellion, war, strike, communication problems, infrastructure and internet failure, power cut and bad weather conditions.

8. LAW AND AUTHORISATION TO FOLLOW

Turkish Law will be applied in practicing, interpreting the hereby "Terms of Use" and managing the emerging legal relationships within this "Terms of Use" in case of finding element of foreignness, except for the rules of Turkish conflict of laws. Ankara Courts and Enforcement Offices are entitled in any controversy happened or may happen due to hereby contract.

9. CLOSING AND AGREEMENT

Hereby "Terms of Use" come into force when announced in the "SITE" by "Turkiye Klinikleri". The users are regarded to agree to hereby contract terms by using the "SITE". "Turkiye Klinikleri" may change the contract terms and the changes will be come into force by specifying the version number and the date of change on time it is published in the "SITE".
