ÖZET
Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, sağlık alanında eğitim gören üniversite öğrencilerinin obezite farkındalıkları ve obezite ön yargılarını değerlendirmektir. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Çalışmaya, sağlık alanında eğitim gören farklı bölümlerden toplam 610 öğrenci dâhil edilmiştir. Beş bölümden oluşan anket formunun antropometrik ölçümleri, yüz yüze görüşme yöntemiyle tamamlanmış ve ölçekler katılımcılar tarafından cevaplanmıştır. Anket bölümleri; sosyodemografik özellikler, antropometrik ölçümler, beslenme ve fiziksel aktivite alışkanlıkları, obezite ön yargı ölçeği ve obezite tutum ölçeğinden oluşmuştur. Bulgular: Çalışmaya katılan öğrencilerin %79'u kadın, %21'i erkektir. Öğrencilerin beden kitle indeksleri (BKİ) ortalaması 21,8±3,4 kg/m² olup, %15'inin preobez/obez olduğu saptanmıştır. Bireylerin BKİ değerleri, hazır gıda tüketimleriyle pozitif yönlü, fiziksel aktivite yapma sıklığıyla negatif yönlü ilişkilidir (p<0,05). Ankete katılan bireylerin %91,8'inin, obez bireylere karşı ön yargısız olduğunu beyan etmelerine karşın sadece %17,0'ının ön yargısız olduğu saptanmıştır. Katılımcıların obezite tutum ölçeği değerlendirildiğinde, katılımcıların %2'sinin vasat, %49,2'sinin iyi, %48,8'inin ise çok iyi düzeyde farkındalığa sahip olduğu görülmüştür. Obezite farkındalık puan ortalamasıyla obezite ön yargı toplam puanı arasında negatif yönlü, zayıf bir ilişki bulunmaktadır (p<0,01, r=-0,125). Sonuç: Sağlık alanında eğitim gören üniversite öğrencilerinin obezite farkındalık düzeyleri arttıkça, obeziteye karşı ön yargılarının azaldığı ve katılımcıların obeziteye karşı mevcut ön yargılı tutumlarının farkında olmadıkları sonucuna varılmıştır.

ABSTRACT
Objective: The aim of this study is to evaluate the obesity awareness and obesity bias of university students studying in the field of health. Material and Methods: A total of 610 students from different departments studying in the field of health were included in the study. The questionnaire form consisting of 5 parts was applied by face to face interview method. Survey sections; socio-demographic characteristics, anthropometric measurements, dietary and physical activity habits, obesity bias scale and obesity attitude scale. Results: 79% of the students participating in the study are women and 21% are men. The average body mass index (BMI) of the students was 21.8_3.4 kg/m², and it was determined that 15% of them were pre-obese/obese. Individuals BMI valuesare in the positive direction with their fast food consumption and inversely correlated with the frequency of physical activity (p<0.05). Although 91.8% of the individuals participating in the survey stated that they were unprejudiced against obese individuals, it was determined that 17.0% were unprejudiced. When the obesity attitude scale of the participants was evaluated, it was seen that 2% of the participants were mediocre, 49.2% good, and 48.8% had a very good level of awareness. There is a weak negative correlation between the obesity awareness score average and the obesity bias total score (p<0.01, r=-0.125). Conclusion: It was concluded that obesity awareness and obesity biases of university students studying in the field of health are related to the department they are studied, and the participants were not aware of their prejudiced attitudes towards obesity.

"Force majeure" term will be regarded as outside of the concerned party's reasonable control and any situation that "Turkiye Klinikleri" cannot prevent even though it shows due diligence. Also, force majeure situations include but not limited to natural disasters, rebellion, war, strike, communication problems, infrastructure and internet failure, power cut and bad weather conditions.

8. LAW AND AUTHORISATION TO FOLLOW

Turkish Law will be applied in practicing, interpreting the hereby "Terms of Use" and managing the emerging legal relationships within this "Terms of Use" in case of finding element of foreignness, except for the rules of Turkish conflict of laws. Ankara Courts and Enforcement Offices are entitled in any controversy happened or may happen due to hereby contract.

9. CLOSING AND AGREEMENT

Hereby "Terms of Use" come into force when announced in the "SITE" by "Turkiye Klinikleri". The users are regarded to agree to hereby contract terms by using the "SITE". "Turkiye Klinikleri" may change the contract terms and the changes will be come into force by specifying the version number and the date of change on time it is published in the "SITE".
