Anomali saptanan hastaların 88 (%50)'i kız, 88 (%50)'i erkek hastadır.

ABSTRACT
Objective: To investigate the prevalence and characteristics of dental anomalies (DAs); in permanent teeth among non-syndromic subjects in pediatric patients aged from 6 to 15 years of Trakya Region. Material and Methods: This cross-sectional study was performed by using panoramic x-ray films which were taken routinely for examination of 1.759 individuals between 6-15 years old who applied to Trakya University Faculty of Dentistry between 2015-2017 due to various dental problems. Dental anomalies were evaluated under number, structure, shape and position anomalies. Third molar teeth were not included in the study. Results: The prevalence of dental anomaly was found to be 10.0% in our study population. 88 (50%) of the patients with anomalies were female and 88 (50%) were male. The most common anomalies were number anomalies, and hypodontia was found to be the highest percentage anomaly with a frequency of 5.17%. It was followed by hyperdontia and taurodontism with a ratio of 1.76% and 1.59% respectively. Anomalies were more common in maxilla (p0.05). Conclusion: According to the findings of our study, the most common tooth anomaly in pediatric patients of Trakya Region was hypodontia and the most frequently missing tooth was the lower second premolar. The frequency and type of tooth anomalies vary among populations and confirm the role of racial factors in the prevalence of tooth anomalies. Digital panoramic radiography is a very useful method for the detection of dental anomalies. In addition, it is important to plan treatment by determining the early diagnosis of dental anomalies in pediatric patients in order to prevent dental problems that can be seen in older ages.
