ÖZET
 Amaç: Çalışmanın amacı, yüksek çürük riskli olduğu düşünülen genç bireylerin çürük risk değerlendirmesinde karyogram programı kullanımının etkinliğini değerlendirmektir. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Bu çalışma, yüksek çürük riski olan 18-25 yaş arasındaki 154 erişkin üzerinde yapıldı. Yüksek çürük riskli bireylerin tespitinde önemli çürük indeksi uygulaması kullanıldı. Hastalar, yapılan araştırma konusunda bilgilendirildi, bilgilendirilmiş olur formu alındı. Hastaların dişlerinin durumu, klinik ve radyografik olarak değerlendirildi. Çürük risk durumuyla ilgili faktörlerden; çürük, kayıp, dolgulu dişler indeksi, Laktobasil seviyesi ve diyet alım sıklığı, plak indeksi ve Streptococcus mutans miktarı, flor kullanım düzeyi, tükürük akış hızı ve tamponlama kapasitesine ait veriler karyogram programıyla her birey için ayrı değerlendirildi. Bulgular: Sonuçlara göre karyogramda kullanılan tüm parametreler için girilen skorlar yükseldikçe, bireylerin çürükten korunma şansının yüzdesinin anlamlı derecede azaldığı bulundu (p<0,001). Skor bazında değerlendirme yapıldığında en yüksek karyogram değeri S. mutans (skor=0) da gözlenirken, en düşük değerin tükürük akış hızında (skor=2) olduğu görüldü. Yüksek risk grubunda çürükten korunma yüzdesi ortalaması 18,10±8,56 olarak bulunurken, orta risk grubunda 45,16±8,79, düşük risk grubunda ise 72,65±7,88 olarak bulundu. Sonuç: Bireylerin çürük risk kategorizasyonunda karyogram programı kullanılmasının fayda sağlayabileceği düşünülmektedir. Programa göre plak seviyesi, tükürük akış hızı ve flor kullanımı bireylerin çürükten korunma yüzdesini belirleyen en önemli faktörler olduğu, tamponlama kapasitesinin en az belirleyici role sahip olduğu görülmüştür. Diğer yandan tükürük ile ilgili faktörlerden tamponlama kapasitesi, S. mutans ve Laktobasil sayısına ilişkin verilerin elde edilmesi oldukça yüksek maliyete ve zaman kaybına neden olmaktadır.

ABSTRACT
 Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of the use of the karyogram program in caries risk assessment of young individuals considered to be at high risk of caries. Material and Methods: This study was conducted on 154 adults aged 18-25 years with a high risk of caries. Significant caries index application was used to identify individuals with high caries risk. Patients were informed about the research, informed consent form was taken. Among the factors related to caries risk status; Data on decayed, missing, and filled teeth index, Lactobacilli level and frequency of dietary intake, plaque index and amount of Streptococcus mutans, fluorid level, saliva flow rate and buffering capacity were evaluated separately for each individual with the karyogram program. Results: It was found that as the scores entered for all parameters used in the kariogram increased, the percentage of individuals' chances of protection from caries decreased significantly (p=0.000). The highest value was observed in S.Mutans (score=0), while the lowest value was observed in saliva flow rate (score=2). The mean percentage of caries protection in the high risk group was 18.10±8.56, while it was 45.16±8.79 in the medium risk group and 72.65±7.88 in the low risk group. Conclusion: It is thought that the use of a cariogram program may be beneficial in the caries risk categorization of individuals. According to the program, plaque level, saliva flow rate and fluorid were found to be the most important factors determining the percentage of individuals' caries protection, and the buffering capacity has the least determining role.

Turkish Law will be applied in practicing, interpreting the hereby "Terms of Use" and managing the emerging legal relationships within this "Terms of Use" in case of finding element of foreignness, except for the rules of Turkish conflict of laws. Ankara Courts and Enforcement Offices are entitled in any controversy happened or may happen due to hereby contract.

9. CLOSING AND AGREEMENT
