Bu değişkenler; AFÖ (Odds oranı [odds ratio (OR)]=1,14), Tegner (OR=0,38), performans (OR=3,42), yaş (OR=1,40), spor yaşı (OR=0,85) ve medeni durum (evli için OR=0,01).

Objective: The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between pelvic floor symptoms with kinesiophobia, pain catastrophizing, demographic factors and performance in professional and recreational athletes. Material and Methods: Athletes were reached through social media with an online survey battery. The Global Pelvic Floor Symptom Bother Questionnaire was used to determine pelvic floor symptoms, the Tampa Kinesiophobia Scale to determine the level of kinesiophobia, the Pain Catastrophizing Scale (PCS) to determine the level of pain catastrophizing, Tegner Activity Scale to determine physical activity levels, and visual analogue scale to determine the impact on performance. The relationship between pelvic floor problems with biopsychosocial, performance and demographic factors were analyzed using logistic regression. Results: A total of 65 athletes 33 with pelvic floor symptoms (%64 female, 26,6±3,7 years, 22,3±3,2 kg/m2 ) and 32 without pelvic floor symptoms (%41 female, 27,6±5,9 years, 23,8±3,0 kg/m2 ) participated in the study online. Logistic regression showed 6 independent factors associated with pelvic floor problems. These were PCS (odds ratio (OR)=1,14), Tegner (OR=0,38), performance (OR=3,42), age (OR=1,40), sport age (OR=0,85) and marriage status (OR=0,01). Pelvic floor symptoms were associated with higher pain catastrophizing, lower physical activity level, greater impact on performance, older age, fewer years playing sport and not being married. Conclusion: Pelvic floor problems in professional and recreational athletes are associated with higher pain catastrophizing and poorer performance. The factors discussed in this study should be included in the pelvic floor assessment and treatment plans in athletes.
